The knitted trainers are marvelous although I dont think my knitting skills can stretch to that yet. Trainer cake looks yummy. Especially those laces. Yum sugary chewy strawberry goodness.

I really like the idea of doing prints like this on Canvas and sewing into them. His work is so easy to connect with and unlike a lot of modern 'art', I understand why this is called art.

These have given me all kinds of inspiration for making something. Now I just need to find the time...

Shamal

There is a 'shamal' in Dubai at the moment. I would get out and take some photos if it wasnt for the fear of getting sand in my eyes....Shamal=Strong dusty,dry winds which may set in suddenly at any time and generally lasts from 1 to 5 days, dying down at night and freshening again by day. The wind then causes sandstorms...
