Jonathan Burton

Award Season. Illustrator Jonathan Burton has created five illustrations that will feature on the covers of the printed programmes at next month's BAFTA awards (if your lucky enough to attend)...Burton was commissioned by Studio Small to create an illustration to represent each of the five nominated films in the Best Film category, Argo, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, and Zero Dark Thirty.

Gunn Report 2012

The Gunn Report compiles lists of the most-awarded ads worldwide during the previous 12 months. Here are a few of my favourite...
1.Canal+ The Bear (BETC, Paris) which is the most awarded commercial in the 14 year history of The Gunn Report.
2. BGH Silent Air, Dads In Briefs campaign (Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Buenos Aires)
3. John Lewis, The Long Wait (Adam&EveDDB, London)
 

Also worth a watch is NAB break-up campaign.

Some mid afternoon listening. Both of these songs make me want to do some kind of running dance down the street hopefully with some others following me much like the Pied Piper. Enjoy.

You can always rely on LBB to post interesting and creative things. So I have Addison at LBB to thank for introducing me to these ads. I don't know how some of these people didn't scream (I know I would have). Extremely effective.

Andrew Knapp is a genius. This is making me smile on an otherwise stressful day...I need to meet this man and his dog. 

150 today

It's the London Undergrounds 150th anniversary today and to mark this the Royal Mail have designed some special stamps for the occasion. As annoyed as I get by the tube, 150 years ago this was a piece of engineering genius and it really is a marvel...all we need now is air conditioning, then I will be super impressed. Happy birthday.
