The Saatchi Gallery
What a perfect day. Slept in. Met up with Patchy. Ate a patisserie Valerie doughnut. Went to the Saatchi Gallery. Saw Stephen Jones.
Most of the art makes you feel slightly uneasy, pushing boundaries and putting you outside your comfort zone. In particular the room full of oil which took me a good ten minutes to realise I wasn't staring at an empty room (most disconcerting as from then on I wasn't quite sure if what I was looking at was what I was really seeing). It's really hard to explain so all I can say is go and experience it for yourself. Oh and I also met some giants....

Shellfridges
Project Ocean.
There's plenty more fish in the sea. (But perhaps not for long)
I have always been interested in the environment and studying sustainability has given me a better understanding of how fragile the environment we live in is. Project Ocean is raising money and educating people about sustainable fish, something I think people often take for granted.
The other day I went to Selfridges to donate and buy myself a little ribbon. I fully support this scheme and I love the fact that Project Ocean seems to have taken over the store!
To find out more about Project Ocean please look at the Selfridges website below...You don't miss something until it's gone, but lets not wait for that. Educate yourself....

When I'm older I want to have my own ranch in Texas...
America will always hold a small place in my heart. After living in Texas for 3 years I completely fell in love with it. Being in London has made me realise how lucky I am to have lived in the places that I have, living somewhere allows you to immerse yourself in that way of life which I don't think you can do as a tourist.

Ron Galella
I definitely go through phases of being obsessed with different things, recently being illustration (note rather a lot of posts about illustrators) but I have always had a soft spot for photography. I dropped my little Nikon of the floor over a year ago and it still takes incredible photos. Obviously these photos weren't taken by me but due to time restraints I havent been able to make any pieces/take photos recently so these are by the wonderful Ron Galella. He recently featured in creative review...Paparazzi or artist? I will let you decide...(I know what I think).
