A photograph I took in the Orinoco Delta in Venezuela of three boys from one of the villages by the river...



I have done some quick sketches from looking at tribal people...one has got tribal scarring on his face, a tradition many tribes follow and the bottom one is from a tribe in Indonesia...

Having lived in Indonesia for 5 years the people and the place greatly affected me especially when it comes to making pieces. These pieces have drawn from the bustle around me to create something simple...

Whether people want to do anything about it or not, it cant be denied that the planet is heating up and global warming is happening. The more people are aware of this the more chance we have of changing the outcome. This garment has drawn inspiration from this, looking at trees and the organic form using natural fabrics and creating different textures similar to that of bark. This is one of my older pieces and I now focus more upon sewing onto canvas using different mediums.
